You know you have come to terms with your “teacher self” when you make play-dough on a Sunday! I am coloring it for Fall (reds, yellows, oranges) which connects to the next unit on that season. Buying the ingredients was interesting because the cashier wasn’t sure what I was gathering (food coloring, cream of tartar, etc). I mentioned that I was making play-dough for my kids and it made a bit more sense 😮

This play dough recipe seems like a great idea because it is showing the students the different colors of Fall, and they get some more play dough in the center. Right now, both preschool and Pre-K rooms only have one bag of play dough each – it is starting to dry out and some of the children are bored with the color. This play dough is a mixture of oranges, reds, and yellows to emulate Fall!
