Talk to the Teddy (355 out of 365) #blogaday

While  I was looking back at posts, I found this one about when I found the Traveling Teddy Bear teaching group. I thought I would re-blog it because I have just finished having Bessie in my room! Sorry for the short post, but I have written 2 before this one and am getting tired.

Broadcasting Bessie Bear (338 out of 365) #blogaday

The Traveling Teddy, Bessie, arrived on Thursday in my classroom! Things were a bit hectic so I have not introduced her yet, but the children will meet her on Monday – our unit is Things That Go so we will be discussing the various ways she could have traveled to us. I am excited for them to play with her and have her sitting with us during the small group activities and circle time:)

I looked back at this link recently because I still want to incorporate making books somewhere into the curriculum, but I’m not sure how yet – maybe when Bessie (the traveling teddy bear) comes in mid-December 🙂 We could all come up with mini stories to her, and practice more of our letters. It would maybe be incorporated into small groups or afternoon circle to teach more about writing. making books

Time for Teddy! (243 out of 365) #blogaday

I got the email from Traveling Teddy Bear today! We will be having “Bessie” join us in December or January from Canada, and then we are sending her to Northern Ireland – it is exciting to have this setup for incoming months! I look forward to writing about her adventures, and helping the students draw pictures and write as well. This is such a great idea 🙂
